About Us – Science, Precision, and Environmental Integrity

At Soil Solutions Australia, our commitment is to delivering precise, defensible soil carbon data through scientifically robust methodologies.

We specialise in combustion analysis to provide accurate measurements that support environmental projects, land management strategies, and industrial reporting requirements across Australia.

Our focus is not just on generating results — it is on delivering reliable data that can be confidently used in environmental assessments, monitoring programs, and long-term sustainability planning.

  • Accuracy, Integrity, and Data Confidence

At Soil Solutions Australia, accuracy is not optional — it is foundational. Soil carbon measurement plays a critical role in environmental decision-making, and the reliability of that data directly impacts landholders, consultants, and project managers.

We operate with strict scientific integrity, ensuring every result is generated through validated methodologies and consistent analytical processes.

Our commitment to data confidence means clients receive results they can rely on, whether for baseline assessments, environmental reporting, or internal project evaluation.

  • Why Combustion Analysis Is the Gold Standard

Combustion analysis is widely regarded as the most accurate method for measuring total soil carbon content.

By subjecting samples to controlled high-temperature combustion, carbon is quantified directly, delivering precise and reproducible measurements.

This approach minimises estimation and maximises accuracy. In industries where environmental data must stand up to scrutiny, combustion analysis provides a defensible and scientifically sound measurement method.

At Soil Solutions Australia, we prioritise this gold-standard methodology to ensure the highest level of confidence in every result delivered.

  • Quality Control and Validation Measures

Reliable data requires more than advanced equipment — it requires rigorous quality control.

We implement strict validation procedures throughout the analytical process to ensure consistency and repeatability.

From calibration standards to controlled laboratory protocols, every stage of testing is designed to reduce variability and maintain analytical integrity.

These measures allow us to provide dependable results suitable for professional reporting and environmental documentation.

  • Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Testing Through Acid Treatment and Combustion

Measuring Total Organic Carbon (TOC) requires precision and methodological control to ensure accurate differentiation between organic and inorganic carbon fractions within soil samples.

At Soil Solutions Australia, our TOC determination process begins with acid treatment to remove inorganic carbon components such as carbonates.

This critical preparation step isolates the organic carbon fraction, ensuring that subsequent analysis reflects true Total Organic Carbon content.

Following acid treatment, samples undergo high-temperature combustion analysis. During this process, the organic carbon present in the soil is oxidised and quantified with high analytical precision.

Combustion remains one of the most reliable and reproducible techniques for carbon measurement, providing consistent results suitable for environmental monitoring and reporting purposes.

By combining controlled acid pre-treatment with validated combustion methodology, we deliver TOC measurements that are scientifically robust and defensible.

This dual-step approach enhances data integrity and ensures that reported values accurately represent the organic carbon content of the soil sample.
